16th Century Royal Blue Tudor Gown

A Sixteenth Century Gown made in royal blue velvet, with a bell shaped skirt and trumpet sleeves with blue satin lining. 
The under sleeves and underskirt are constructed of embroidered gold damask trimmed with black and gold. The under sleeves have ties and are detachable, jewelled buttons and are slashed to display white silk ‘puffs’ . 
The bodice is boned , back lacing and fully lined. It has square neckline trimmed with gold braid, pearls and lapis lazuli gemstones set in cabochons.
A reproduction farthingale with hooped steel is worn beneath the underskirt.
An ‘Elizabeth Tudor’ reproduction brooch has been constructed and attached to the front of the bodice.
The matching headdress is made of black velvet with a cloth of gold, pearl and lapis lazuli cabochon billiment and black veil.
The jewellery consists of a two necklaces and a girdle.  Constructed of gold filigree beads, gold cabochons, lapis lazuli gemstones, pearls and Swarovski crystals, the girdle has a gold coloured pendant with a deep blue stone.
